Amsterdam's newspaper Het Parool has published a double page about Bloggers In Amsterdam over the weekend ... and an almost full page of Alek and I, that's so cool, but next time when someone ask us to take our photos in the morning, we should think twice ... lol ! Mornings are made to sleep and not to pretend working on your laptop in the breakfast room when you can hardly see the screen because your eyes are screaming "LEAVE ME IN BED" ! ;-)

We had such a great time in Amsterdam ! Unfortunately our trip is coming to its end, we are leaving but we will be back very soon for the Rembrandt / Caravaggio exhibition and the hot guys bien sur ! (You won't believe how many Abercrombie hunks walk the streets of A'Dam) and we hope to have more time next on our next trip to meet some OhLaLa readers :-) More photos from Amsterdam here !
Our trip is coming to its end and there are still too many things we didn't have time to see ! Last night we meet up Justin / Bloggers In Amsterdam and Sebastian / Holland.com and had a great time discovering some other cool places.
This is the year when Amsterdam celebrates the 4OOth anniversary of Rembrandt, so if you love his work, this might be the year for you to come over here ! There is a couple of great exhibitions. Yesterday we went to the one at the Rijksmuseum. But the one you cannot miss will be the "Rembrandt / Caravaggio encounter" at the Van Gogh Museum, the exhibition will start at the end of the month and we will be back to see it !
On the Cooking Spice Chart, I would have give this young chef a good 3 Peppers ! If you are looking for a good food court, we would recommend La Place on Kalverstraat, the big shopping street. And I know you are all very careful with your diet so before heading to the sandwich section, have a look at the vegetables section ! The chef will cook your peppers to perfection, while you will be melting. Bon Appetit !

Our day was pretty busy with a LOT of walking, and beside the fact that Alek almost got me killed by a tramway, riding the back of his bike, it was a very good day ;-)

We had diner with Justin from Blogads // Bloggers in Amsterdam and two of his friends, before heading to Reguliersdwarsstraat (Don't even ask me to pronounce it correctly) one of the gay streets.
After a quick stay at the Arc bar (too crowded), we went to Soho, the bar next door, a gorgeous English style pub. It was much better and the guys were even cutter cuter. After a couple of drinks we just went next door (it's a very convenient street especially in the winter) to the Exit Club. I wish I have brought my camera ;-) Amsterdam Gay Scene Reviews
We have spent more time going down 5 floors, driving 20km to the airport, checking in our bags, boarding on KLM plane, than the actual 50 mns flight ! A great relief from our regular 12 hours between Paris and L.A, plus we avoid the jet lag ! Perfect ...
Perfect could also describe our first day in Amsterdam. When you spend too much time in Paris, you can forget that some cities can be organized ! 15 mns after claiming our bags we were in the heart of Amsterdam ! Our hotel, the Krasnapolsky is the center of the center ! Great location and amazing view from our room.
We were so excited that we've immediately dropped our bags and went to take a walk. The city is just fantastic, and on top of it you have the people of A'dam who are so nice to you, even if you stand right in the middle of their bike lane, because the tramway has just missed hitting you ... and here you are standing in the middle of a bicycles horde doing a choreography that "Le Cirque Du Soleil" would envy ...
After all those emotions we needed a drink, so we went to the Arc Bar in the Gay district. A few Cosmopolitans later we came back to our hotel, but on our way back we saw an amazing restaurant that I will mention in more details later ! The place is called ENVY and you HAVE to go there if you come to Amsterdam ! Italian food served as tapas in a great atmosphere, cute waiter and friendly customers (they better be because you are all eating on the same long, long, long table ... just like a big italian family reunion, noisy and fun, as long as you are not sitting next to your overweight aunty who will take as a personal mission to feed you to death), and the food is absolute perfection !
Now the night has just begun ... and we have heard there are some cool places to go out to burn those "italian" calories ;-) // Bloggers In Amsterdam
