AS THE WORLD TURNS // GAY UPDATE

Jake Silbermann, Luke's future love interest arrives on the show today. Luke (Van Hansis) will meet Noah (Jake Silbermann) at the Oakdale TV station, where both are working as interns. Noah first appears to be straight and is wildly enticed by Luke’s gal pal Maddie. When the boys do hook up in July, there will be fallout. Luke’s parents, Holden and Lily, have gradually come to terms with their kid being gay. "But now they’ll have to really deal withy it," Hansis notes. "Accepting is one thing. Seeing their son with a boyfriend is something else."

Some fans have expressed impatience with the delay, fearing the lack of lust meant ATWT was trying to whitewash Luke’s sexuality. "That was never the intention," Hansis insists. "Waiting has made this a more realistic story, and it’s still not a love-at-first-sight sorta thing." Below is a quick video catch-up on Luke's story so far. Thanx to Alan Light ;-)

VAN HANSIS GETS A DAYTIME EMMY NOMINATION FOR HIS GAY ROLE IN "AS THE WORLD TURNS"

Van Hansis (born September 25, 1981) plays a gay teenager, Luke Snyder, on the American soap opera As the World Turns, and he has just earned a Daytime Emmy nomination for "Outstanding Younger Actor In A Drama Series." RUPERT EVERETT HAS NOTHING TO WEAR ...

Rupert Heverett lead of this year's Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras Parade in Sydney this Saturday has nothing to wear ... it's totally fine with me ;-) Rupert Heverett is delighted to be chief of parade at this year's Mardi Gras, but the actor seems unsure of his duties. "Is there any dressing up?" he said yesterday, eyes widening in mock terror. "I haven't brought anything to dress up in"

Beautiful Thing (1996) is a movie on the theme of gay love, in the concrete wasteland of South London. It's moving, beautiful, tender. It is one of my favorite movies and it is a must see ! This video was made by our biggest fan and now biggest video contrivutor of OhLaLa, Alan Light ! The second season of Janice Dickinson Show off to an attractive start. In this video you will be able to enjoy the beautiful JP Calderon, not quite the same thing than watching him on Survivor ... muche better even if you still fears of some young hunky sharks swimming around ;-) !! Oh By the way we ran into him on Santa Monica Boulevard this past week end, he is super hot, but we were too shy to go and say hi ;-) So if you read this JP ... HI !

And for those who have never saw an episode, we have also posted one of the very first episodes of season one where the Diva Janice goes "hunks hunting" at the white party in Palm Springs ... and later in that episode gets her models sprayed for the opening of the agency ;-) Sun is bad for your skin ... those images shows you an healthy way to get some tan.

LONELY BOY // SUMMER BLUES

We spend a lot of time on our computer, sharing moments of our lives and things we like. But who are the people on the other side of the screen ? How do they respond to what we share with them !?

The video 'Lonely Boy" was made by a gay kid from a small town. He made this video about his reaction to one of Alan Light's video called Summer Blues, a Norwegian short film about a young gay guy who has a crush. That you can watch here !

He says about the video he made "(I was) feeling really alone while watching a youtube video. That is a really beautiful video i watched, and this is how I responded. Really expresses how I feel... I was surprised really. but Never had a real relationship, small town issues ya know. Want to fall in love while Im young, I feel thats slipping away from me fast, as a search for someone, I fall everytime. Am I ever going to fall in love?"

At this very moment I am posting his video it has been view 50 times ! It's moving because it reminds me that once upon a time Alek and I were also two lonely boys from worlds apart small-towns ... and today we are together in one of the most beautiful cities in the world. Life has a lot of beautiful things to share ... even when you start as a lonely boy from a small or big town !
