One of Alek's favorite movies is Elizabeth. So yesterday we have been to see Elizabeth The Golden Age. How can you not love a movie with Cate Blanchett, Clive Owen about the fantastic life of Elizabeth !!? Watch the trailer.
I haven't seen Elizabeth (I know, shame on me!) but I really enjoyed this movie. I love Cate and Clive, but I also LOVE the fascinating life of this woman. The official website is very well done and has a great section called "Time Line" that you should definitely check out.
Every single image of this movie could be a masterpiece by Rembrandt, some scenes are just stunning. The movie explores the romance between the "Virgin Queen" and noted adventurer Sir Walter Raleigh (Clive Owen) ... how nice it would have been to cross the ocean with him at that time ;-)
Of course the movie got mixed reviews, but as always, I have to see things for myself. I don't usually read critics or really pay attention to them, because it really depends on who you are. I like to share my point of view and discuss but rarely take a one-way-opinion from someone I don't know. So for this reason it's up to you to decided if you are into Clive Owen as dirty adventurer ;-) I won't push you ...
New York and the rest of the world is not looking good in Will Smith's upcoming movie but at least he is ;-) I am Legend will be released in December 2007. Watch the trailer here.
Tonight we had the pleasure to be invited to a BAFTA screening for The Brave One at the Pacific Design Center in West Hollywood (Thanks Donald).
The movie is amazing, very emotional, we've always been huge fans of Jodie Foster and the fact that she was there to answer to a few questions and converse with us was just the cherry on the cake. It was a privilege to see her, and besides the fact that she is smart she is damn hot !!! We truly invite you to see this movie ... Reports state that Chris Pine (that we have mentioned on OhLaLa a couple of days ago, see the related post here) is "in talks" to star as a young Captain Kirk, but scheduling conflicts mean he's not confirmed. Trek is set to shoot from November through March. Early on Matt Damon was rumored to be cast as Kirk, but obviously that was just a big rumor. Zachary Quintos from Heroes will play a young Spock.

Today we have been to the Grove to see the movie Resident Evil: Extinction ! Not the best movie I would say, if you like this kind of movies you have to see 28 weeks later way way much better !!! Resident Evil's "monsters" are ridiculous and funny after some time ...
Anyway, let's go back to our subject, the good part of the movie is Matthew Marsden 34 years old actor from England. You may remember him from the movie Anacondas or playing Paris in Helen of Troy ... If you never saw this movie we have some sexy pictures of Matthew here.
I don't know what is it with the Marsden but they are damn good and hot ;-)
