OHLALA PRESENTS A SAILOR STORY BY BELL SOTO
Back in 2006 OhLaLa first featured an amazing photoshoot by Bell Soto, since every photoshoot keeps impressing me.
You can't even call his work a photoshoot, it is between a piece of art and a fabulous story. I love when a photography, simple or more elaborated takes me away, tickles my imagination, and that's why we love to feature all those amazing talented photographers on OhLaLa.
My great grand father was a navy captain based in the South of France, so this photoshoot is even more special to me. I have heard so many stories about his life on the sea and in so many different seaports all over the globe.
I have often wondered how those guys could leave land for weeks, but most of them have or had only one true love in their life ... the sea. They talk about it like a person, they love it, hate it, it's a real connection.
Passion is what makes life worth living right !? It's not money, It's not fame, one thing my grand father, who was a painter, taught me is that to be happy in life you have to live passionately, and those sailors do live their life passionately.
There is also something very homoerotic about them don't you think !? So welcome onboard, and enjoy Bell Soto's super sexy sailors ;-) Art direction: Gabriel Pena. Styling: John Tan. Photos courtesy of Bell Soto for OhLaLa.
