A campaign by the New South Wales police to raise awareness of the number of teenagers dying as a result of listening to iPods while they cross the road is beginning to reach epidemic proportions :-(

Comments

Apple will probably have a hissy fit over the image, but the ad rep that came up with it is brilliant.

well that has nothing to do with the ipod but with the people that cross. theyre stupid and dont watch out

Natural Selection as its finest.

To add a few facts here: NSW is the australien state, where Sydney is located. Lots of american tourists there that stumple out the plane without realising, that the cars do not drive on the right side of the street. With jetlag and earphones they do not even haer a f***ing horn!

have only the americans died? how many have died? where is more info?

don't be a fool, not everything is about americans. its for everybody.

Our decisions to electronically isolate ourselves from the reality of our true surroundings (whether by ipods, cell phones, pdas, etc.) are beginning to show the undesired consequences that we are witnessing. It may only get worse as the techno-geniuses continue to bombard us with all the latest reality-disconnect devices that we are so hungry to acquire.

In the Ice Age(not the movie) dumb people were killed by wild animals.
In the Information Age dumb people are killed by cars/electricity/ weapons and wild animals.
Natural selection. Short IQ, short life.

PS: Do you see a zebra? Was he jaywalking? :)
