ACTOR HEATH LEDGER IS FOUND DEAD !!!!!!! HE HAD BEEN BATTLING A VICIOUS BOUT OF DEPRESSION

OMG! when I read news like that I just "hope" it's another sick joke of the internet .... unfortunately this is a serious news :-(

:: Australian born actor Heath Ledger, 28, the co-star of the Oscar-winning movie "Brokeback Mountain," was found dead in his New York residence. The New York Times said Ledger was discovered by the housekeeper and a masseuse who arrived in the afternoon for an appointment.

:: Ledger, who was nominated for a best actor Oscar for his portrayal of a gay cowboy in the 2005 film Brokeback Mountain had separated from his former fiancee Michelle Williams in September. The pair has a two-year-old daughter.

:: Cause of death still unknown but speculation is drug overdose...

I have over 300 DVD's and Heath Ledger is the only person of whom I have all his movies. I am older so did not think much of him when he first came to the industry. Then he made Brokeback and I was astonished at the talent in this man. Ended up getting all his movies. He remains the best of his generation because not once was he the same in any role. Four Feathers is fantastic. He sang and danced a funny bit in 10 Things I Hate about You. And delightful in Casanova and beyond belief in Candy.
When he lost the Oscar I said, and I still say, that is the biggest mistake on the part of the Academy because although Hoffman was good in Captoe, it is much easier to impersonate someone who was such a character, but Heath had to play completely against type and be convincing ins a span of over 30 years.
I will never forget the last five seconds of that movie, and those words where he says goodbye to his lover. Now, I say goodbeye to you Heath. This has hit me on a lot of levels, I was waiting for anything you do. But most importantly, you are a child of God, not an actor, and now you are at peace. Loved by so many. If only you knew how many you helped come "out." I work with gay teenagers who are the highest rate of suicide on the United States. You helped so many come to peace with themselves.

i can't believe it, i learned it yesterday, i really loved this actor, first for his cute face but also , he was so different from the others.
this is a such big drama!!! i would be scared of being famous nowadays, they all turn in depression, social problems, divorces, and then suicide!!! i don't know if it's a suicide, but it's kinda strange to die with somnifere if it's not a suicide. prehaps it was a call for help that turned bad.
i hope the next one will not be britney..

This is so sad, I have loved this guys natural skill since, " A knight's Tale". His light was darken way too early. Heath had so much more to give to the world.

Heat, était un acteur comme les autres, beau mec, je suis d'accord, excellent acteur, je suis d'accord aussi ! N'essayez pas de le récupérer dans un mouvement gay à cause du film Brobekeback mountain... Il y a l'acteur et l'homme... Je comprends aujourd'hui la reserve de Jake Gyllenhaall devant une telle dusparition moi qui le connais bien...
Cet excellent axteur acteur était sensible du coeur et avait le coeur sensible !
