Jake Gyllenhaal is set to play famously hard-living and prognosticating quarterback Joe Namath. According to Variety, a creative team is largely in place for the film, but nothing can move forward until after the writers strike ends. source
Gooney looking Jake will have to put on a fake big nose and gain about 50 pounds or so to play a Joe Namath character....
