BASTILLE DAY // HAPPY 14TH OF JULY FRANCE !!!

Photo of the firewroks over looking the Vincennes Park in Paris by Steph
Not that we did no enjoyed the fireworks in L.A for the 4th of July ... but I have to say that every year Paris and the cities around really rock when it comes to the Bastille celebrations !!! Our condo is facing the East of the city so on the other side of the Park we have enjoyed around 9 different fireworks at the same time ...
For those who are not suffering from agoraphobia, the main action tonight will take place at the Eiffel Tower, and at the Port Royal Fire Station. We have been there once for the New Millennium celebrations ... it was the most amazing fireworks we have ever seen, but tonight will be a quiet night since we are leaving for L.A tomorrow.

About your return to Los Angeles:
I'm a little surprised you've made no mention of Outfest, the annual gay and lesbian film festival in L.A.
It opened this past Thursday and runs through July 23.
Last night a nearly full house at the big, beautiful Directors' Guild Theatre (Sunset Blvd, a block west of Fairfax) saw CHACUN SA NUIT. (American title ONE TO ANOTHER. Dumb.)
You've probably seen this film in Paris.
The nude shots of Pierre Perrier and Arthur Dupont are AMAZING, and definitely worthy of a major splash on ohlalaparis.
(The film opens commercially at the Sunset 5 at the end of July.)
Cheers!

a brief revisit.....recollections as to why i lean toward spanish -- somehow, french has been lacking that oooomph that brought the earlier writings and creative vision -- instead one can see that focus on really bad pop art and trashy amateur use of technology. it's in there somewhere, it's just not reprezenting. instead, this little cheeky boyish triflings. send me an email when all of you learn how to have a real party and not be so selfish......please.
thank you.

Salutations on Bastille Day. Et vive la France! Je parle une peux de Francais, seulement (as is now obvious) mais j'aime la langue. Still working on my language skills. Still...I'd love to live in Paris, some day, and work on it there.
