Alek and I have decided to celebrate our 8 years anniversary in Brazil. Rio de Janeiro is everything you imagined and expect it to be, and even more. Hot, humid, sexy, vibrant, breathtaking ... I could go on and on with superlatives, but to put it simple ... we LOVE it ;-)

Praia Ipanema, is a must see, and believe me I am not even talking about the guys yet ;-) I am just talking about one of the most breathtaking sunsets you could ever experience. After a long day at the beach, the sunset is the cherry on the cake, it's like the city is telling you "Obrigado for coming, hope you had a pleasant day, see you tomorrow..." And we will be back tomorrow for sure ... with plenty of photos that you guys are going to love ;-)

When in Rio you must visit a bar called Bofetada a couple of blocks up from the gay beach in Ipanema. Everyone knows where it is at and you should go in the afternoon. Go eat at "Gero" also in Ipanema or at "Emporio Santa Fe" in Gloria. Two hours north of Rio is a city called Buzios. This peninsula has 23 of the most beautiful beaches you'll ever see. Two/three hours south of Rio it the city of Angra Dos Reis. This bay has 365 of the most beautiful islands you'll ever see. The night club to go is called Le Boy(Copacabana). The gay section of Ipanema beach is in front of Farme de Amoedo. Posto 9(Tower 9) in Ipanema is where the straight boys hang out and it is a site to be seen. Go visit Lapa in Downtown Rio for a night of fun and good eats and, of course, go up Sugar Loaf and Christ The Redeemer.

If I can give a suggestion (there are wonderful ones already posted!), don't forget to visit the Forte de Copacabana. I guess you'll love the view. And you can also have a cup of coffee (or tea or drink some soda) at the Confeitaria Colombo placed in the Forte de Copacabana.

And if you need any instructions/suggestions, it will be my pleasure to give some help.
