WE LOVE THE PHILIPPINES !!!! MABUHAY

When I think of the Philippines, I think great food (thanx to our friend Françis ;-) I think beautiful beach resorts (with over 7000 islands)... and SUPER hot guys !!! Modern day Filipinos are mostly of Austronesian ancestry, although there are a number of Filipinos with Spanish, Chinese, American, and Arab ancestry. And look at the incredible result ...

Those photos are from the Cosmopolitan Bachelor Bash last year that took place in Pasay City. For the rest of the photos go to the second part of the post.

Sorry for being serious for a moment but... What's wrong with Austronesian ancestry. You guys make it seem that the only reason these guys are hot is because they are part non-Filipino. Personally I find it particularly offensive. This is the problem with the Filipino society. We've been so brain-washed with colonial mentality that we still hold the "white" "western" standard of beauty. I wished we would stop hating ourselves! THESE MODELS ARE NOT THE TYPICAL FILIPINOS! Being of austronesian ancestry is as beautiful! MABUHAY!!!

First of all, I am a proud, average and typical-looking Filipino guy. I totally agree with NINJAI: "You guys make it seem that the only reason these guys are hot is because they are part non-Filipino." And -- sorry to spoil the fun -- those guys in the pictures do NOT look and are NOT Filipino at all. Most of them are from the US making a quick buck in our poor country.

there is no such thing as typical filipino face or look. filipinos are from different races that goes without saying that we all look differently at all.my grandpa is from lisbon.i may not look as what you conceived but i am a filipino.a bisaya.

Well, guys, I think that a hot man will be hot anywhere, despite his ethnical heritage. Beauty is not a privilege of a nation, or of a ethnicity. Blonde men are handsome, dark-haired men too. Latinos are so hot, and there are many gay men who can´t resist a black man!
The point is: beauty is beauty. Whether the Filipino men on the pictures represent a "typical" national beauty or not is not important. No one can say they´re not hot. Prejudice has many faces and one of the strangest of them is to scream that these Filipino guys are not "typical" enough to be called Filipinos.
Vive la diversité.

There IS actually such a thing as a typical Filipino look, and Filipinos are most definitely NOT from different races -- they are from the Malay race. Of course, there are the so-called mestizos -- the product of interracial unions, but I wouldn't go as far as saying that "Filipinos are from different races."
The typical Pilipino look: Kayumangging kalinangan (beautiful brown skin), non-aquiline nose. We are proud of this, and mestizos should accept the fact that THAT classic Filipino beauty is our traditional description.

These guys are hot! No question about it! What is a Filipino? I don't think God could even answer that! Is there even such a thing as a Filipino? My only problem is the suggestion of the caption that what makes these "Filipinos" and the Philippines "lovable" is that we have a bunch of guys who are part non-malay/asutronesian-Filipinos. This is not a critic on the West but rather on the Filipino society! Colonial mentality along with Globalization has kept us in the era of the Spanish and American period were the standard of beauty is of someone with lighter skin. It's mentality I've grown up with and have seen in myself.
