MICHAEL PHELPS WANTS SHOT AT IAN THORPE

Michael Phelps has challenged Ian Thorpe to be in peak shape for a possible clash at the world swimming titles in Melbourne next year. "I just hope he wants to get back in shape because if I am going to be world champion, I have to beat the best and Ian is a champion," Phelps said yesterday.
