‘I’m not gay’ says Pakistani pop star

Pakistani pop artist and heartthrob Ali Zafar has denied suggestions that he may be gay.

Following rumours around his sexuality, he remains adamant that he is not homosexual. Although, acknowledging his gay fan base, he assured that he would be more than happy to ‘out’ himself, were he gay.

In a recent interview with Ikonz magazine, a British showbiz monthly, he explained how he had no reason to hide his sexuality and his hopes for marriage to a woman. Asked if there was any truth in floating rumours, the singer, who has just released his new album “Masti’, said:

“If I was [gay] I wouldn‘t hide it. I‘m straight. Very, very straight”.

“Of course, I want to get married one day, but not in the near future,” he told editor Reena Combo.

The 26-year-old hopes his new tracks will help him break into the UK market.
