THE BOYS FROM BROKEBACK MOUNTAIN

You've all heard about Brokeback Mountain, a gay western set in 1961 Wyoming. The story of two cowboys, Ranch Hand Ennis Del mar - Heath Ledger - and rodeo cowboy Jack Twist - Jake Gyllenhaal - who fall in love. Spanning over the course of 20 years, the film shows the pressures, challenges, and violence faced by the lovers in rural America. Based on a short story by Pulitzer Prize winning author E. Annie Proulx. Release date, December 9.

But don't know what happened to Heath Ledger just after the mountain ?! I am glad he came back to his natural blond look for his new movie Casanova. Actually the photos of him with dark hair are from the Lords of Dogtown premiere last May.

The story of Brokeback Mountain is not exactly about homossexuality. The writer tells us a story of deep friendship between 2 men, supposely straight, who love each other so much that the sexual desire arrises between them.
She wants to tell us that passionate love between two people, is possible, independently of their sexual orientation, if people are able to free themselves from the taboos and preconceived behaviors imposed by culture and education.
