GETTING PERSONAL WITH APOLLO GT

Apollo GT : Of all the subjects photographers like to focus their cameras on, the male figures were among those at the top of the list throughout time. Photographing male nudes has been done so many times and yet, there is a passion for it still. As I look for the male figures that spark my interest, I can't help but contemplate on what the most beautiful existence in life is that surpasses the beauty of a flower, a sunset, a compassionate gesture, or a nude figure.

Sure we admire great physique for its strength, its form, and of course its ability to sexually stimulate our minds. There is still something else that is always there to add to the male figures we feast our eyes and fantasy on. While a bodybuilder can hone his muscles to the peak of his commitment, a photograph of his body can still do no justice if his physique is not well presented. This requires that he knows how to pose well and that the photographer knows how to catch what is in sight. But with all technical difficulties are being well managed by the subject and his photographer, creativity can still take it all a step further.

This pushes the challenge to the next level: The photographs must be unique, show intriguing characters, and provoke new thoughts in the minds of the viewers. As I looked at one after another of the male nude photographs done by many photographers and myself, the answer to my question is still not yet there ...

Ha, I think I've met GT 5 years ago at Velvet Nation (a club in DC) when I was an exchange student in Baltimore. Yeah, it must be him... Funny. The (gay) world is so small.

What a talented photographer you are! Those photos are excellent with good color and the compositions are well thought out. The male nude as an art form is deserving of your camera lens.
