MADONNA OUT OF CANNES

Madonna's new documentary Re-Invented Process will not be shown at the Cannes Film Festival.

The film was shot by Jonas Akerlund during Madonna's 2004 world tour.

"There is a huge amount of competition at the festival. Madonna's film was just one of thousands," a source said. "We felt the documentary had a lot of merit, but in the end there were other more suitable submissions that pushed it out of the running."
