COMING NEXT - PENGUINS' GAY DAY !
The German zoo has abandoned a plan to break up gay penguin couples after protests from gay rights groups. Gay groups reacted with outrage when four female penguins were flown in from Sweden to see if they had any influence on the homosexual pairings. Via theage.com
btw, they didn't try this out because of homophobia, but because this sort of penguin is in danger of extinction as i understand the original german article...

You are right, but it seems that nowadays every argument is valid to sustain "gayness"...Many of us do not need neither church's authorization nor scientific support to live our lives. A tres bien tôt.

I thought it was because the "gay" penguins were not taking to the female one's? Either way it seems penguins in Germany have more rights than us humans in America...

I was under the impression several penguin species had err, gay, tendencies? Have to admit, their outfits are fabulous, lol.

yeah, we're pretty liberal in germany...
- gay marriage (well, partnership)
- age of consent 16
- no laws banning certain sexual positions ;-)
- the mayor of the capital (berlin) is openly gay
- the leader of the political party FDP (which, together with the conservatives, were in power until 6 years ago) is openly gay
- etc
