Alek - Latin Quarter

When I was 16, my first summer job took place 80 km from home in a town called Cordes-Sur-Ciel ! Cordes-In-The-Sky is an extraordinary mideaval village, perched on a mountaintop. This is one of the occasional places in the world that will take your breath away, when you see it for the first time.
I worked there as a waiter for Yves Thuriès at "Le grand Ecuyer", the ancient hunting residence of the Counts of toulouse back in 1222. I have spent two months there. Today I think it was a unique experience and I am so excited to go back there with alek for my birthday in August. The Hotel restaurant is only open for the summer. So if you ever go to the South of France, this place should be on your list ! Plus my "Ex-Boss" opened a Sugar Art Museum in 1988 ... FA-BU-LI-CIOUS !

You already know about the photo book "Les Dieux Du Stade" the French rugby team naked :-)
Finely a good news for those who want to order it in english.
TO ORDER THE BOOK WITH AMAZON (IN ENGLISH) CLICK HERE
Two reasons: it's in english, so much easier, and shipping is free for the US !
Unfortunately the DVD (Making of the calendar), is not yet on sale in english. Believe me it is worth trying to translate the french Amazon. I love the part with Frederic Deltour Naked in The shower ... No comments !

There is something about Collin Farrell. I was never sure what it was ! Now I think I know. It's all about the hair ! when a friend showed me those photos from the movie ALEXANDER, I was surprised. I don't know what is your opinion but the "Superior Preference # 9 Golden Blonde By Loreal" doesn't do for me :-( I know how hard it must be to look good with long blond hair and a short skirt when you're a man (I would not try it myself .. well ... maybe for $3M I'll give a try) ... but hey !! Brad Pitt did it ... sorry Collin, "YOU DON'T WORTH IT"
I prefer that guy from the same movie ... I have no idea who he is ?!? I think I'll have to wait for the movie to see him in short skirt :-)

I have no idea for how long those gigantic silver ants have been standing in the Tulieries, but I just noticed them ... unusual for the location !

Beaubourg Café, ultra stylish café-bar-restaurant opposite the Pompidou Centre. This is the place to be for Café Croissant, Lunch, Diner, Brunch, Drink ... On a cloudy, rainy, sunny day ... The terrace is huge but full most of the time. The clientele is a dashing mix of wealthy art-loving tourists and trendy young locals whith some hip Parisian lounge music "a la Hotel Coste". This is where I had my first date with Alek. Not a bad view to meet the men of your life !

One of our favorite place in Paris, is the Shakespeare & Co Bookshop. Located in the Latin Quarter, in the heart of what was once a monastery. This place is fabulous. Tiny rooms, books up to the ceilings, rugs, mirrors, books, books, books ... The shop is overlooking the river and Notre-Dame. It started after the second world war, it was originally one room and George, the owner was hardly making any money. On one of the walls of the Bookshop you can find the inscription "Be not inhospitable to strangers, lest they be angels in disguise".
