In less than 56 days, are we going to preview our future ? If you're not scared yet, you should be !
I was always a HUGE fan of disaster movies. "Earthquake", "The last days of Pompeii", "Deep Impact", "Towering Inferno", "Titanic", "Twister" ! Some are showing our past, some are fiction. On 6 movies I have listed only 2 are exact part of our History. If none of those two historic events really happened, would Hollywood think of those stories ? Certainly yes ! So what about : EARTHQUAKE ? A major earthquake in Los Angeles. DEEP IMPACT. A "Big Rock" on its way to "Blue dot". Only fiction ? We are getting closer to, what once, seemed unthinkable ?
Today one movie is showing us what our future will be (not might, be but "WILL BE" )! "GLOBAL WARMING" is our Future. Some of us, already had a preview of this future.
In 2003:
The hottest European summer on record caused more than 20 000 deaths.
An extreme heat wave in India, 1500 deaths.
The largest number of tornadoes in one month was recorded in the US
(with an average of 16 tornadoes a day during that month).
By 2050 (I would only be 65 ;-) 1.25 Million species of plants and animals will be committed to extinction.
Many cities are threaten by the rising sea level such as, NYC, Tokyo, Buenos Aires ...
Predictions are that record will be broken soon ... Enjoy your future !
And enjoy this movie :-) I love their WebSite.
THE DAY AFTER TOMORROW .... there is more truth than hype !
EARTHQUAKE (1974)
THE LAST DAYS OF POMPEII (1960)
DEEP IMPACT (1998)
TOWERING INFERNO (1974)
TITANIC (1997)
TWISTER (1997)
Some of those movies "may appear" a little old today. But I still love them, just like the 1st time .... And 1974 is not that faraway ! It was just a good year for disasters. Oh right, that's the year I was born !!

Empty streets on a freezing sunday afternoon ... welcome to Boston ! It was quiet nice to walk in the streets, like you can walk on a movie set after all the crew left. But that is not a movie set ... where are the people ? The only "breathing thing" who approached me, was "Little hungry squirrel" :-) who turned his back to me when he realized I did not have anything to feed him :( Or maybe that was my French accent ? "Come back petit skirrrrel ... !"

When Madonna & Co. came to Paris for her "Drowned World Tour", they took a walk in Versailles. Did she get her inspiration for this year's World Tour there ? She is very "Marie Antoinette" on her poster don't you think ? Who really was that girl ?!? let's find out ....
Marie-Antoinette. Full name : Marie-Antoinette-Josèphe-Jeanne d'Autriche-Lorraine (1755-1793)
Born in Austria like "Governator Shwarzy". She lived a privileged but disciplined life as a child. If there was not enough snow to play in, her mother would order it to be delivered from the mountains. How cool is that !
Queen of France at the age of 14 !
As difficult as all this is, her life in the palace of Versailles is worse than anything she could have imagined. The people in the French Court are shallow and disgusting ... Nobles urinate against marble walls, wiped with curtains and people pretend not to see. The beautiful palace stinks worse than the sewers. You will never think of Versailles the same way from now on ;-)
Young and inexperienced, she was criticized by her rebellious behavior. She refused to follow the royal etiquette, refused to wear clothes not chosen by herself, disregarded conventions, and wasted big sums on her whims. She was called the "Austrian Whore" and "Madame Deficit." The public blamed her for not having child then she settled down and became a devoted wife and mother, though this did not save her reputation and did not stop the evil and dirty rumors about her. She was abused in pornographic songs, pictures and pamphlets. Even a fake autobiography, in which the queen confessed her debauchery, was published. Dirty French !!
After being told the people had no bread, she said :
"Let them eat cake!" She was kind of funny ...
REVOLUTION
She was guillotined on October 16, 1793. Oups ! French did not have much sense of humor at that time !
Think how many times Chirac's head would have been "cut off" .. after all the bull shit he can say ....

In less then 48 hrs we will be able to fight over the internet to order tickets for the Madonna's Paris "re-INVENTION" stop over. The two shows for London sold out in less than 90 mns ! When I saw the official photo of the Tour, one thing came immediately into my mind. Is she going to perform "Vogue" as she did it for MTV Music awards ? That would be sooooo cool :-) I cannot wait for September 1st.

Yesterday I was looking for a magazine for Alek at Boston's airport. I have to admit that one cover caught my eyes. "Instinct" with a really sexy guy on it. Today when I woke up, Alek send me from his office a link. The site of a young singer who used to live in France. Well that was him the guy I saw on the cover Blair Shepard, always nice to put a name on a cute face !
Born in California 26 years ago Blair Shepard hit the French Charts in 2000, with a #1 song called "Give me your time". He came to Paris for a "total immersion experience". 3 long years in the French Capital and not a single call to us ;-) I like him even more because he is singing a song of "Pascal Obispo", my favorite male singer in France :-) Today he is living in San Francisco and we just hope he is gonna make it big so we would have the pleasure to see him more and who knows maybe he might come back to Paris one day ;-)

They are coming back ! But this time it's thicker ..... and you are going to enjoy it even more. I am talking of the "Naked French Rugby Team". How is that possible ? After the DVD, they have decided to release a Book with some of the 5000 photos that Francois Rousseau took for the 2004 Calendar. The Book is on pre-sale and we understand why, after the success of the calendar that "sold out" in a few weeks only. On sale from April 15th 2004 ....
And be the first to catch them all ;-)

PS : They have won last saturday in Paris the final against England on the 6 Nations Tournament :-) Bravo les mecs ....

This sexy man is a native American, with French and Irish blood. Big green eyes, 6'1" ... What else can we wish for ? He was Born in Alabama and then moved with his parents to Mississippi. "Troublesome boyish nature" ... he was sent by his parents to a military school in grade nine (bad boy)! He worked for a pet nursery, in construction, as a mortgage broker and at the cologne counter of a clothing store ... His first experience with the entertainment industry was in the Ricky Martin's video "She Bangs". A model friend in Miami introduced him to some local agencies. He did many campaign for Armani, Nautica, A&F ... "He still resides in Miami, fully taking advantages of the beautiful weather and cultural atmosphere of South Beach" ... We all know, that South Beach is none for it's "Cultural Atmosphere" ! He said that he makes his own cloth. How cute is that ? Does he makes his own "speedo" to run on the beach at sunset time ? I'll have to find out ... I think alek and I will go to Miami next month for a few days. Paris is not as "Cultural" as South Beach ;-)
MORE CHANNING TATUM :
Channing Tatum - Coach Carter - manChic

It was about time
With Coach carter, he finely made the transition from glossy magazines (A&F, Dolce Gabanna ...) to the big screen ! Many people have just recently discovered this handsome guy and his acting talents. His name has to be remember, Channing Tatum is still known as the fashion model who's doing a movie, but hopefully soon enough he will just be conceder as an actor. Other movie actors have started their career as models, Brad Pitt was one of them.

NYC 3 AM. After a diner with Richard, Matty and Benoit at the "Bivio" I took a cab and went back to my hotel on Times Square. For the first time I saw the heart of the city without traffic or a single soul on the side walk ... wow !! To see this "crazy place" empty is quiet an experience. I LOVE NYC !
