Frequent flyer terrorist !

Today they have announced the cancellation of two more Air France flights from Paris to Washington DC. Working for Air France i totally understand this preventive procedure. But why do they make public announcement two days in advance ? In fact the flights who have been cancelled were supposed to take off from Paris tomorrow and the day after tomorrow ... If there is a real threat on those flights, wouldn't it be easier and more efficient to cancel those flights just before the take off, once all passengers are ready to board ? Most of the people would certainly complain if they have to stay hours at the airport for a deep search on them and their luggage.

There is no specific rules against the madness of a terrorist mind, there are just actions. Canceling a suspected flight is a good thing. But, do you think that it is so hard for a "suspected" passenger to get a seat on an other flight when they know that their plane (in two days) is cancelled ?

Are terrorists, members of the Air France Frequent Flyer program ?

Breaking News on TF1 !

TF1 is the "main" television channel in France ...
I should say "unfortunately" the most popular, it constitutes the principal and sometimes the only source, of information for many citizens.

Every day, 15 millions people are watching the news on this channel.

Since 1976 the same person is presenting the news. PPDA (that's his name, short cut for Patrick Poivre D'arvor). This gentlemen is not able to make a sentence without a mistake ! In France you call someone a "professional" by the years of experience ! So he is the "biggest television professional" in this country.

Every day at 1pm and 8pm, for 30 mns, this channel is supposed to inform people about the news worldwide.

Today like everyday the only preoccupation was .... the weather conditions. Whatever happens to this world, the "average" French person seems to worry about the little cloud over his head. A bombing in Jerusalem killing 10 people today ... 2 mns between "Marcel" who had trouble to make it to his job because of 2 inches of snow (that TF1 hurried to film before it melts on this sunny day) and "The last factory of shoes made out of wooden" !

The foreign politics disappeared silently from the TF1 News. They still continue to show instructive foreign images : So recently we have learned that the koreans are eating dogs, or that Senegalese marabout "put a magic spell" on the French Football team ...

Vive La France ... ! :(
